The dashboard represents the next step in formalising PIL’s existing commitment to responsible
operations, as outlined in our Sustainability Charter. It provides information on the progress of our
current sustainability commitments.
Fouad Hayel Saeed, Managing Director, PIL said: “As global demand for palm oil continues to grow, PIL
believes there is an opportunity to be more transparent in our efforts to deliver quality products.
Establishing this dashboard is an important step in achieving this. Through it, we are able to provide a
snapshot of where we source our palm oil, its level of sustainability compliance, and steps we are taking
to improve this still further. This information will help consumers, our customers, and the communities
where we work to know more about our business and appreciate that responsible practices are at the very
core of what we do.”
To support the comprehensive implementation of our palm oil sustainability programme, PIL is working
with Proforest, a leading sustainability consultant. Proforest is recognised globally for its expertise
in responsible palm oil sourcing and will provide consultancy on policies, processes, systems and
infrastructure as we look to achieve sustainability goals
To this effect, PIL’s Sustainability Dashboard will continue to evolve and grow; we look to update it
regularly to reflect progress regarding traceable, transparent and sustainable nature of PIL’s palm oil
supply chain.
