Our sustainability journey continues for this year with Sustainability Week which was held for a period of two weeks. This initiative was actively participated by all employees of PIL across various departments. The week kick started with collection of pre-loved clothes and followed by Sustainability Awareness Quiz which run for two session. The week ended with a Zero Waste talk and segregation of clothes to the selected orphanages.
The Sustainability Awareness Quiz aimed to provide awareness on the company’s sustainability commitments and to educate the participants on their vital contribution in ensuring a balanced ecosystem. The winners of this quiz walked away with cash prizes. Another interactive session was the Zero Waste talk which was organized in collaboration with Free Tree Society Malaysia. The session highlighted Malaysia’ significant waste generations with alarming statistics. This in turn inspired our team to pursue impactful zero waste practices and reaffirmed PIL Group’s commitment to a greener and sustainable future. The collection of pre-loved clothed was segregated and distributed to Pusat Jagaan Kasih Murni and Pusat Jagaan Titian Kaseh. Besied that, we also donated few boxes of old books to national library, Kuala Lumpur, which were contributed by our employees.
This event was a huge success due to the never ending support and contribution from our employees.
